Conflicting Voices

Louder and constant,
overpower and erase.
But, dissent remains
hiding under the surface.
It peaks through cracks,
testing the woven strength.
Building under the cover
waiting to emerge -
exploding like cicadas.
Strength and force to silence
is a weakness with time.
Embrace conflict and
Fear any domination.
