NONSENSE & HOPEFUL SONGS:
MY INNER FIGHT TO BE HEARD
Written by a non-speaking autistic poet and painter, Charles Lenny Lunn's impassioned art, rich in bold, gestural strokes, layered planes, and hidden depths, distills the underlying rhythms and small absurdities of everyday events. His body moves freely through space as he applies paint to paper and creates luminous images through spelling.
By spelling on a letterboard, one letter at a time, and through the vivid textures of his paintings, he redefines self-expression, turning everyday moments into inspired messages and powerful realities. Lunn’s message of love, compassion, and inclusion challenges viewers to reconsider their beliefs about autism and intelligence.

I’ve been collecting my son’s artwork since 2003. Since 2010 I’ve transcribed and saved every inspired message that he has painstakingly created with his Communication Partners (CPs). Not only can he spell better than many, but Charles also has a revelatory vocabulary and multidimensional knowledge originating from beyond the veil.
